The logo is inspired by the classic Street Fighter fireball, the Hadouken. The thick outline of the logo is used as a key design element throughout the app to tie the visual identity together. Small versions of the logo close the gaps in the outline and lose the internal strokes.
A social media app designed for the fighting game community
The fighting game community originally formed as an amalgamation of the many tight-knit groups across the world who would get together regularly in their local arcades to play, watch and compete in games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Though consoles have replaced cabinets as the way to play, the FGC has continued to grow even more connected throughout the years, while still maintaining the sense of being a small grassroots community.
I started this project with the goal of creating a social platform designed specifically for the FGC. To both help the OGs have a place to spread their content and provide tools to help them host tournaments; as well as to provide a place for newcomers to find resources to help them both improve in their games, but also ways to help them become involved with the community at large.

Wikis
LFG
Looking for group features gives players more options to find like-minded players. Fight! gives users the ability to post an LFG message, look through posted messages, or randomly match with someone who fits your search parameters.
Wikis are an amazing resource to help newcomers find their footing in an unfamiliar game. They also serve as a great way for communities to catalog their collective knowledge on various aspects of each game, from character knowledge to general gameplay strategies.
Brackets
Easily keep track of tournaments regardless of size with live brackets. Brackets provide live updates on each game in a tourney and provide post-game stats for any match you missed.
